Pair of Carved Oak and Alder Herons

I started carving birds 30 years ago as a hobby, then graduated to a unit at Staunton Harold craft centre. I was there for 9 years, then built a workshop at home in Hugglescote and started to sell through galleries around the country. I retired 10 years ago and carve still at home, but at an easier pace.

I have been carving birds for 30yrs, and selling them through various craft shops and galleries. The woods I use are English hardwoods sourced in Leicestershire. Each piece is hand carved and signed and numbered. The subjects range from garden birds to full-sized waders. Polished or painted, I like them all!
