Changing Places
Changing Places is an ambitious Creative People and Places programme, connecting communities across North West Leicestershire through arts and culture, made possible by the Arts Council England.
The Changing Places consortium is led Coalville CAN, and includes The National Forest Company, NWL GP Federation, Our Co-op and Coalville Public Radio, a variety of organisations committed to the local area and rooted in our communities.
Alongside the consortium, a Community Voice panel will ensure we are keeping the focus and vision of the project.

Our Vision
Through this project, we aim to achieve a number of key goals in the local area:
- Making creative opportunities visible in people’s daily lives, enabling them to connect with each other, to participate and build a more vibrant, sustainable, and creative community.
- Positioning North West Leicestershire as a dynamic and thriving cultural hub, where creativity is a cornerstone of community life and local identity.
- Creating a legacy of local creative empowerment, especially for those that currently have the least engagement in arts and culture.
The programme will focus strongly on local communities across the whole area, develop new ideas and approaches, to learn and share the learning, and have a sense of fun! It'll be focused on community, through an artistic lens.
