My ambition at the age 15 was to become an arts and crafts teacher. Unfortunately, in 1968, dyslexia was not spoken about it. It was predicted that I would fail and was advised to do something else.

When I retired and settled down here in Ibstock, I found I had the time to go back to my passion, painting, and joined a local art group that I thoroughly enjoyed, until the pandemic stopped the group from meeting. However, the pandemic also gave me the time to write and paint, hence my book, The Secrets and Superpower of Father Christmas.
