I enjoy creating pictures in watercolours, ink and acrylic paint. I draw my inspiration from things around me that fascinate me such as nature (trees, flowers, and wildlife) and heritage including old buildings, churches and interesting landscapes such as seascapes. I love taking photos on my phone, capturing unexpectedly and 'in the moment’ many precious memories. These photos provide the subject for much of my artwork. Painting and drawing provide me with a sense of wellbeing and mindfulness, providing essential coping mechanisms and building resilience to supporting me in my role as a nurse
