Oddly Joanna

I'm Joanna, the maker behind Oddly Joanna. I make small worlds — shadow box frames, glass cloches, wood slices, painted plant pots and tiny dioramas, each one built by hand using bark, brass creatures, resin, gilding and sometimes a little LED light. My work is inspired by nature and alternative/goth culture, which is where the goblincore, dark cottagecore and whimsigoth feel comes from — a little wild, a little witchy, always a bit magical. I love taking natural, found and unexpected materials and turning them into tiny scenes people want to stop and look closely at. Craft has always been a place I go to slow down and create something with my hands, and Oddly Joanna grew out of that. I'm based in Coalville, currently building up stock for my first craft fair in October 2026, and sharing the process on Instagram.
